Azden Hx-Mi Trrs Mic/Headphone Adapter Cable

Tap into the recording capability of your mobile device! The HX-Mi Cable allows you to use many Azden microphones with your smartphone or tablet.

The Azden HX-Mi TRRS Mic/Headphone Cable is designed to make your Azden or other brand of microphone or wireless mic receiver (with 3.5 mm mini-plug output) compatible with your mobile devices. The HX-Mi is compatible with any device with a traditional TRRS headphone jack (CTIA standard). If your device does not have a traditional headphone jack, then the use of either a Lightning to Headphone Adapter (Apple iOS) or USB-C to Headphone Adapter (Android) will be required. No specials apps or software are required for compatibility; your device will automatically use the audio coming from your connected microphone.

The HX-Mi provides two female 3.5 mm connection jacks: the jack marked “ECM-Mic” is for connecting your microphone while the jack marked “SPK” is for connecting wired headphones or earbuds. Connecting headphones allows you the convenience of listening back to your recordings without having to disconnect the cables, and possibly live-monitoring audio while recording (the app used must allow this feature).

Any microphone that terminates with a 3.5 mm TS or TRS plug is compatible with the HX-Mi. This includes, but is not limited to, the following popular Azden models: WLX-PRO, WMS-PRO, PRO-XR, PRO-XD, 310LT, SGM-99o, SMX-15, EX-503.

Note: Mobile devices cannot accept a stereo microphone signal via their headphone jack. The connection is mono only. Thus, stereo microphones and dual channel wireless systems are not truely compatible with the HX-Mi. You may get around this if your wireless receiver or stereo microphone has a detachable cable, by using our stereo-to-mono audio cable.
